- Review the significant burden of OSA and the unmet treatment needs of people living with OSA.
- Educate on OSA pathophysiology and the link between pathophysiology, chronic intermittent hypoxia, and the OSA sequelae.
- Explain how the investigational AD109 drug targets neuromuscular dysfunction, including what has been learned about its mechanism of action (MOA).
- Present AD109 clinical data to illustrate its potential in addressing this unmet need.
About the Presenter: John Cronin, MD
John Cronin, MD, is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at Apnimed, a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, dedicated to developing novel oral therapeutics for sleep-disordered breathing. Throughout his career, Dr. Cronin has advanced patient care and deepened understanding of the impact of sleep apnea on overall health.
He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Before joining Apnimed, Dr. Cronin served as Medical Director of the Scripps Clinic Sleep Center in La Jolla, California, and later as Chief Medical Officer at Philips Respironics.
