About the Presenter: Atul Malhotra, MD
Dr. Malhotra is Vice Chair of Medicine for Research and Research Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep Medicine and Physiology at UC San Diego. He holds the Peter C. Farrell Presidential Chair and is a tenured Professor of Respiratory Medicine.
In addition to his leadership and research roles, Dr. Malhotra remains clinically active in the intensive care unit and in outpatient sleep and pulmonary clinics. He leads a large NIH-funded laboratory and, since 2000, has authored more than 600 original research publications and over 350 reviews and book chapters.
From 2015–2016, Dr. Malhotra served as President of the American Thoracic Society.
