About the Presenter: Sonja G. Schuetz, MD, MS, MSc
Sonja G. Schuetz, MD, MS, MSc earned her M.D. and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Eberhard-Karls-Universität in Tübingen, Germany, followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
She completed her internship in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, New York, a neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, and a fellowship in Sleep Medicine with postdoctoral research training at New York University.
Dr. Schuetz is Associate Chief of Service in Neurology and Associate Program Director of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her clinical practice and research focus on obstructive sleep apnea and its cardiovascular consequences, including stroke and heart failure. She also serves as Director of the Michigan Sleep Research Repository and has led numerous clinical research studies as principal investigator.
