About the Presenter: Scott S. De Rossi, DMD, MBA
Dr. Scott S. De Rossi is a nationally recognized healthcare executive, educator, and strategic innovator known for transforming organizations at the intersection of dentistry, medicine, technology, and leadership development. A two-time dental school dean and former academic health system CEO, he currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer of Nexus Integrated Health, Vice President for Strategy & Innovation at Serendequity Partners, and Chief Strategy at OrthoNu, where he leads enterprise strategy, medical-dental integration initiatives, and national thought-leadership platforms.
Across his career, Dr. De Rossi has built and scaled complex organizations in higher education, healthcare delivery, and entrepreneurial ventures. As Founding Dean of the Workman School of Dental Medicine at High Point University, he designed a $75M state-of-the-art institution, grew the HPU Oral Health Network into a regional market leader, and secured more than $32M in philanthropic commitments. Previously, as Dean of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry and CEO of Carolina Dentistry, he reversed multimillion-dollar deficits, generated significant research and philanthropic growth, integrated siloed clinical systems, and established global partnerships through the DentAlliance consortium.
A board-certified specialist in oral medicine, Dr. De Rossi has held faculty and clinical appointments at the University of Pennsylvania, UNC-Chapel Hill, the Medical College of Georgia, and Augusta University, where he founded and chaired the Department of Oral Health & Diagnostic Sciences and led nationally recognized interdisciplinary clinics.
He advises companies and boards across the health innovation landscape—including OrthoNu, Halo Digital, Safe’N’Clear, Autodontics, and Crown Biome—and is widely sought for his expertise in leadership development, medical-dental integration, value-based care, strategy execution, and organizational transformation. As Publisher and Editor-in-Chief for six national dental publications at MedMark Media, he championed the movement to position dentistry as healthcare through integrated education, research, and practice.
Dr. De Rossi holds a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Augusta University, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine. He has been recognized as one of Incisal Edge magazine’s “32 Most Influential People in Dentistry,” and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
