KariosPAP (KPAP): Pressure at the Right Time | The Future of PAP Therapy for OSA
Advances in PAP devices have focused on improving comfort by reducing expiratory pressure, incorporating smaller and quieter designs, humidification, improved masks, and expiratory pressure–relief technologies. This presentation reviews randomized controlled trials comparing CPAP with a novel bilevel pressure system using a mask‑compensation algorithm, examines the impact of pressure support on central sleep apnea management, and evaluates the effects of reducing IPAP relative to EPAP. The technology aims to deliver pressure at the optimal time to enhance comfort and therapeutic efficacy.
