About the Speaker: Babak Mokhlesi, MD, MSc
Dr. Babak Mokhlesi is the J. Bailey Carter, MD, Professor of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College and serves as Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and Co-Director of the Rush Lung Center. An internationally recognized authority on sleep-disordered breathing and hypoventilation syndromes, his research focuses on obstructive sleep apnea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, COPD and the broader effects of sleep disorders on cardiometabolic and pulmonary health.
About the Moderator: Reena Mehra, MD, MS
Dr. Reena Mehra is Professor and Head of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Washington and holds the A. Bruce Montgomery, MD, American Lung Association Endowed Chair. An internationally recognized physician-scientist in sleep medicine, her research focuses on sleep-disordered breathing, cardiovascular disease and the role of sleep disorders in cardiovascular health.
